Tsipras calls confidence vote after minister resigns

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras (pictured) said on Sunday that he would call a confidence vote in his government after his Minister of National Defense Panos Kammenos resigned earlier in the day, according to various media reports.

Kammenos quit his post earlier on Sunday over the deal that Greece made with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia regarding the latter's name change, which envisaged that it would change its name to the Republic of North Macedonia. Macedonia's parliament voted to do so on Friday evening, triggering Kammenos's departure.
