The S&P 500 opened 0.44% higher, led by the gains in the technology and telecommunications industries.

The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.59% at the bell to a new all-time high.

The euro increased 0.26% against the greenback to sell for 1.2366 at 2:37 pm CET.
