Wall Street ends volatile week in the green

Markets in the United States closed in the green on Friday after a volatile week on Wall Street. The markets jumped 400 points at the opening bell following a two-day selloff triggered by the fears of rising interest rates. During the day, gains were briefly erased before returning well into positive territory. Earlier, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said stock markets were back on track and that corrections were occurrences that "come and go."

The Dow Jones was up 1.10% at the closing bell. Visa, Walgreens and Cisco were the biggest winners, rising 4.70%, 3.67% and 3.60%, respectively. The Nasdaq 100 increased 2.77% as the session ended, with Netflix soaring 5.75%. The S&P 500 increased 1.41% at the end of the day, as the tech sector pushed the index higher.

The euro lost 0.31% against the greenback, to go for 1.1558 at 10:20 pm CET.
