'White powder' probe ongoing at Obama's office

Washington DC police are investigating the white powder substance that was sent to the former United States President Barack Obama's office on Tuesday, local media reported. The incident was reported at around 12:30 pm local time. There is no indication whether Obama was present at the office at the time the suspicious substance was delivered.

The former president is leasing office space at 1250 24th Street in Northwest, D.C. since January last year. The building is owned by the non-profit organization World Wildlife Fund.

Local authorities are on the scene as the probe continues. The traffic in the area remains closed until the investigation is concluded.
