Zuckerberg accepts EU Parliament invitation - Tajani

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg accepted the European Parliament's invitation to meet with the leaders of political groups and the Chair and the Rapporteur of the Committee of Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) to "clarify issues related to the use of personal data," President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani said in a press release on Wednesday. Zuckerberg is expected to arrive as early as next week, the release added.

"Our citizens deserve a full and detailed explanation. I welcome Mark Zuckerberg's decision to appear in person before the representatives of 500 million Europeans," Tajani said.

On May 1, Chairman of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee of the British parliament stated that Zuckerberg will be forced to testify next time he enters United Kingdom.
