The yield on the two-year United States Treasury note on Tuesday reached 3.97% for the first time since July 2007 amid the next Federal Reserve's meeting starting today. Tomorrow, on Wednesday, the Fed is expected to raise its interest rate by 75 basis points once again.
The return on the 2-year Treasury note increased 2.9 basis points to 3.97% at 6:30 am ET. At 6:35 am ET, the yield on the 10-year note grew 5.2 basis points to 3.541% and the return on the 30-year bond was up 4.7 basis points to 3.552% at 6:37 am ET.
