Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday blasted Poland over its decision to hold the summit of the biggest regional security organization in the world next month without a Russian representative present, TASS news agency reported.
The ministry slammed the move as "unprecedented and provocative" arguing that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov should be present at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) gathering. "Not only did Warsaw discredit itself, it also caused irreparable damage to the credibility of the organization as a whole," the ministry stated.
Warsaw on Friday announced it decided against granting a visa to the Russian delegation to attend the December 1-2 meetings, due to the European Union's sanctions.
