5.8-magnitude quake shakes Indonesia

An earthquake of a magnitude of 5.8 struck near northern Sumatra, in Indonesia, on Friday, according to data posted by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

The quake hit at a depth of 69 kilometers, close to the Aceh province. According to Indonesia's geophysics agency, there is no tsunami risk following the incident.

No damage was reported so far.

5.7-magnitude quake shakes Russia's Altai Republic
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 struck Russia's Altai Republic at 5:19 am Moscow time (9:19 pm ET), the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.The quake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers, 27 km southwest of the village of Kosh-Agach.
