500 people, including over 20 rabbis, who protested at the United States Capitol over Israel's actions in Gaza have been arrested, the organizers of the demonstrations stated.
According to Jewish Voice for Peace, US Capitol Police ripped banners saying "ceasefire now." The organizers also claimed that thousands of Jews gathered outside Congress, while several hundred entered the premises.
Meanwhile, Capitol Police confirmed they made arrests but are yet to provide the exact number of people they detained as they are "still processing all of the arrests."
