Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nominee to be the next United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, stated on Wednesday that he is not against vaccines. He also reiterated his commitment to doing everything possible to put the health of Americans "back on track."
"I support the measles vaccine, I support the polio vaccine," Kennedy told senators during his confirmation hearing. At the same time, he stressed that he is not the enemy of food producers but emphasized the importance of ensuring food safety.
"I believe that vaccines play a critical role in health care," Kennedy said. "We will scrutinize the chemical additives in our food supply. We will remove financial conflicts of interest from our agencies," he promised.
