AP reporter allowed at White House event on Tuesday

An Associated Press (AP) reporter entered a White House event on Tuesday for the first time since President Donald Trump's administration barred the news outlet from official gatherings in February over its use of "Gulf of Mexico" against the administration's directive to call it "Gulf of America."

The journalist attended an afternoon event in the East Room but remained excluded from the official White House press pool, according to Axios. On Monday, officials reportedly banned an AP reporter and photographer from an Oval Office press conference.

This development follows the White House's refusal to follow an order by a Trump-appointed federal judge to stop blocking AP reporters.
