The economic activity in Switzerland recovered in January with the KOF Economic Barometer standing at 101.6 points, as opposed to 99.6 registered in December 2024, the KOF Swiss Economic Institute revealed in a report on Thursday.
After declining in the last month of 2024, the outlook rose slightly to "the above-average range." The majority of the production-side indicator bundles saw "positive developments," according to the report.
The most notable contributors to the increase were manufacturing, other services, financial and insurance services, and hospitality. Meanwhile, indicators in the construction industry weakened. Foreign demand and private consumption indicators also showed a "downward tendency."
