Amazon.com Inc and The Walt Disney Company have had early discussions on working on the streaming version of ESPN, The Information reported citing people with knowledge of the matter.

According to the sources, the service could be offered through one of Amazon's streaming offerings and might cost between $20 and $35 per month. In addition, there is a possibility that the tech giant would also take a minority stake in ESPN.

The deal could potentially fortify ESPN's status as the biggest player in sports media.
