Apple Inc. faces a class-action lawsuit from users who purchased Apple Intelligence-capable iPhones and other devices, claiming that the delay in their features constitutes false advertising and unfair competition, Axios reported on Thursday.

According to the suit filed in the United States District Court in San Jose, the tech giant's products "offered a significantly limited or entirely absent version of Apple Intelligence" misleading the consumers with "features that did not exist or were materially misrepresented."

The document specifically highlights an ad from September last year praising now-delayed Siri capabilities, claiming the company failed to retract similar representations, and thus participated in a "widespread deception."
