Saudi Arabia's oil giant Saudi Aramco Chief Executive Officer Amin Nasser said on Monday that he expects a significant global oil demand growth in 2024.

Speaking at a conference in the city of Dhahran, Nasser underlined that he projects that global oil demand will increase by 1.5 million barrels per day (bpd). However, his projections stand well below the increase of 2.2 million bpd expected by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Previously, Aramco announced that it will keep its maximum sustainable capacity (MSC) at 12 million bpd, instead of raising it to 13 million bdp as previously planned.
