Argentina won the 2024 Copa America, beating Colombia in the final 1-0. Argentina, the defending champion, won the record-breaking 16th title at the event, making it the most successful nation, ahead of Uruguay with 15.
The Argentine team managed to get the better of their rivals in a tense match, and scored only in the 112th minute, when Lautaro Martinez got past Colombian goalkeeper Camilo Vargas, securing the victory for Argentina.
Lionel Messi suffered an ankle injury during the first half and eventually had to exit the pitch in tears, only to celebrate together with Lautaro Martinez at the end of the match.
