Armenia: Over 76,000 flee Nagorno-Karabakh

The number of people entering Armenia from the Nagorno-Karabakh region has climbed to 76,407, the Armenian authorities said on Thursday.

The breakaway republic announced earlier today that it will cease to exist on January 1, 2024 following the recent rise in tensions in the disputed region.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused Azerbaijan of "ethnic cleansing" adding that "there will be no more Armenians left in Nagorno-Karabakh in the coming days."
