Asia lower following declines on Wall Street

Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded lower on Wednesday, tracking declines on Wall Street. Investors in Asia will be looking for more stimulus measures to support the real estate sector in China as the country's Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Ni Hong is set to hold a press conference at 10 am local time on Thursday, according to the State Council Information Office.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.23% at 4:25 am CET. South Korea's Kospi Composite was down by 0.68% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng reduced by 0.46% at 4:27 am CET, while, on the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite traded flat and the Shenzhen Composite lowered by 0.38%. Japan's Nikkei 225 was down by 1.97% at 4:28 am CET.

The dollar traded 0.07% lower against the yen, going for ¥149.0900 at 4:29 am CET.
