Asia trades mostly higher after earnings

Stocks in Asia-Pacific notched gains on Friday as investors digest this week's company corporate earnings releases for the second and third fiscal quarters of 2023. On Thursday, big tech giants Amazon.com. Inc. and Apple Inc. released their results which topped estimates, seemingly boosting investors' optimism.

On the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite added 0.45% at 4:27 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite up by 0.59% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng jumped by 1.8% at 4:29 am CET.

At 4:30 am CET, South Korea's Kospi Composite stood flat, as the dollar traded 0.05% higher against the yen, going for ¥142.6060 and Japan's Nikkei 225 went lost 0.09%. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 tarded 0.11% lower at 4:31 am CET.
