Asian markets traded higher on Thursday after the People's Bank of China (PBoC) revealed in its monetary policy statement it decided to further cut its key interest rates in January.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite increased by 0.34% at 6:12 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite rising by 0.38% a minute later. At 6:14 am CET, South Korea's Kospi went up by 0.42% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng by 2.55% at the same time. Japan's Nikkei 225 added 1.41% at 6:15 am CET, with the dollar trading 0.23% higher against the yen, going for ¥114.5282 a minute later. The Australian S&P/ASX 200 went up by 0.14% at 6:15 am CET.
