At least one person has been killed while three other are said to be injured in Grey nightclub shooting that happened in Konstanz, Germany early on Sunday. German authorities have confirmed that three victims sustained serious injuries and one person lost his life after a gunman of Iraqi origin opened fire at the club. A police officer was also wounded during the ordeal, however, his injuries were not life-threatening.
The 34-year-old Iraqi national is not believed to have been an asylum-seeker. He died in the hospital after being fatally wounded by the police. The attacker “was critically injured in a shootout with police officers as he left the disco, and later succumbed to his wounds in hospital," the police statement said.
The motive of the attack remains unknown but the authorities have ruled out terrorism.
