Australia to send weapons to Ukraine - Morrison

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the country will provide Ukraine with 70 million Australian dollars ($50 million) worth of lethal and non-lethal military equipment.

"We are talking missiles, ammunition, we are talking supporting them in their defense of their own homeland in Ukraine," said Morrison, claiming that most of the funds will go towards lethal weapons.

Canberra is also allocating $35 million for humanitarian support, according to the prime minister.
