Australia trade surplus at A$5.59B in June

Australia's trade balance grew slightly more than expected in June, as the trade surplus amounted to A$5.59 billion (about $3.66 billion) rising from the A$5.05 billion registered in May, the country's Bureau of Statistics reported Thursday.

Imports increased by 0.5% from the month earlier, driven by capital goods, while exports rose by 1.7%, driven by other mineral fuels.
