Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said on Tuesday his country is focused on achieving results in negotiations with Armenia regardless of the platform on which they are held.
"The position of the Azerbaijani side is that the main goal for us is the result, the effectiveness of the negotiations. And from this point of view, the platform for negotiations, although important, is not a priority issue for us," Bayramov told reporters at a press conference.
He added that Azerbaijan has always agreed to conduct negotiations on any platform, but has excluded those that have shown bias or lack of neutrality. Bayramov also mentioned the possibility of future bilateral or trilateral meetings with Armenia. The statement comes amid the gathering of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Saint Petersburg.
