Belarus has been formally recognized as a partner country within BRICS, as revealed by the nation's Foreign Ministry on Monday.

"An official response to a written invitation is a mandatory element of the procedure agreed upon by member states to obtain partner status. It is from this moment that the country is officially considered a BRICS partner," the ministry added.

The ministry highlighted that this partnership status allows Belarus to engage regularly in exclusive BRICS summit sessions and foreign ministers' gatherings as well as accede to BRICS final documents.
