United States President Joe Biden will meet his Mexican counterpart Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Friday, November 17, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Monday.
Jean-Pierre stressed the two leaders will meet in San Francisco on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Week and are set to discuss efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between the US and Mexico, as well as migration on their shared border and other "issues of shared concern."
Lopez Obrador announced in August that he plans to meet Biden at the APEC summit but the exact date had not been specified until now.
