United States President Joe Biden stated on Tuesday that due to the high transmissibility of the Omicron coronavirus variant there is a high chance that large numbers of fully vaccinated people may get the virus.

However, Biden noted that those that are fully vaccinated and had the booster shot won't get serious symptoms, adding that those people should feel "comfortable" heading into the Christmas holidays. For those that are unvaccinated, he said that they should feel concerned about the virus, condemning those that spread misinformation about the vaccine and calling them "liars" and "immoral."

Lastly, Biden commented on the topic of testing, saying that the federal government will set up new testing sites in critical areas in order to speed up the testing process and stop long queues from forming. He also urged people to get at-home tests if they feel like they have to, as the White House procured 500 million tests to be shipped starting from January.
