Biden welcomes agreement between Turkey and Sweden

US President Joe Biden stated on Monday that he welcomes the agreement reached between Turkey and Sweden regarding the accession bid of the latter.

According to a White House statement, Biden also added that the US is ready "to work with President Erdogan and Turkey on improving defense and deterrence in the Euro-Atlantic area."

"I look forward to welcoming Prime Minister Kristersson and Sweden as our 32nd NATO Ally. And I thank Secretary General Stoltenberg for his steadfast leadership," the note concluded.
