Biden: UN must become more inclusive, refrain veto

United States President Joe Biden said on Wednesday the United Nations Security Council must become more inclusive to better answer the new situation in the world, adding he also thinks the use of veto should be refrained except ''in rare, extraordinary situations.''

During his speech at the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Biden called for the council's expansion, saying the UN should increase the number of its permanent and non-permanent members and mentioning in this regard Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
