United States President Joe Biden stated on Thursday that despite the Capitol insurrection on January 6, 2021, America must "reject political violence," as the integrity of the election cannot be undermined.
He underlined that the country is in the middle of the battle for the "soul of the nation," a nation where personal freedom and equality are under threat from "MAGA extremists," who, as the US president said, sought to nullify votes of 81 million citizens.
The US president concluded his speech by saying that democracy will be preserved and encouraged Americans to speak out, engage, vote, and prove that America is still "the beacon of the world."
