United States President Joe Biden urged on Friday Germany and his country's other allies to "sustain our support" for Ukraine until it fully repels Russia's military operation.
Speaking at a press conference following a meeting with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin, Biden stressed that "we cannot let up" though "we had a difficult winter." He praised the host country for working "tirelessly to ensure that Ukraine prevails" and Russian President Vladimir Putin "fails." "The dream of Europe whole and free, that is the work of our time," he underscored.
Furthermore, Biden hailed the relations between the US and Germany, "the alliance we have strengthened," while noting that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is "more united than ever."
