The Bank of England announced on Thursday that it will be selling United Kingdom government bonds, or gilts, in eight auctions from November 1 to December 8, 2022.
The central bank will alternately sell short gilts with a "residual maturity of between 3-7 years" and medium gilts maturing in a timeframe of between seven and 20 years.
The planned size of each of the eight auctions is £750 million, the BoE explained.
