Bombardier Inc is set to cut around 400 jobs in its plant in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in an attempt to curb the coronavirus impact on its business, the company unveiled on Thursday.
Layoffs in Belfast will be part of cost-saving efforts, which were announced last week by the Canadian firm, seeing the company cutting its global workforce by 2,500.
Bombardier's factory in Belfast is the largest high-tech plant in Northern Ireland with around 3,500 employees.
