CBS' "60 Minutes" released what it said was the "full" transcripts of its October interview with former United States Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, aiming to refute claims made by President Donald Trump in a $10 billion lawsuit.
The interview gained attention after aired clips appeared to show Harris giving different answers to a question about Israel. The Federal Communications Commission had recently requested CBS to submit the interview materials, which the network provided before making them public. CBS stated that these transcripts prove the broadcast was not "doctored or deceitful."
Trump, who filed the suit in November, alleged that CBS edited the interview unfairly to favor his Democratic opponent, describing the move as election interference.
