Cameron: 'No moral equivalence' between Hamas, Israel

United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Cameron said on Wednesday that there is "no moral equivalence" between the actions of Hamas and the Israeli army, pointing out that while Israel is trying to defend its people, Hamas is using its people as human shields.

"We have said right from the start and have said continually that look, we back Israel's right to defend itself to go after Hamas. This is a murderous terrorist organization. I saw for myself the terrible things that they did on 7 October," Cameron told the Sky News during the visit to Washington.

However, the recently appointed foreign secretary stressed that Israel must "abide by international humanitarian law," adding that this viewpoint aligns with Washington's position on the conflict.
