British Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated on Thursday that the United Kingdom must "make security a top priority" amid the global geopolitical situation being "more dangerous, more volatile, more confrontational than most of us have ever known."

"My conviction is that we, with our partners, can choose to make a difference," Cameron said at a press conference while urging taking action against adversaries such as China and Russia and their "malign" activities.

Cameron insisted that the UK must be "tougher and more assertive." "We can't afford to be naive," he concluded.
