China's Wang Yi to visit Australia, N. Zealand between March 17-21

China's Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that Foreign Minister Wang Yi will embark on a diplomatic visit to Australia and New Zealand from March 17 to 21.

In an earlier report, it was learned that Australia had officially invited the Chinese foreign minister for the purpose of discussing a range of issues, including trade, security and technology cooperation.

For his part, New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins has stressed the need to maintain relations with Beijing despite past difficulties on some issues.
