China's trade surplus rose to $104.84 billion in December, up from $97.44 billion in November, beating expectations, the country's General Administration of Customs said in its report published on Monday.
Exports jumped by 10.7% compared to the same month in the previous year in dollar terms. Meanwhile, imports advanced by 1% year-on-year.
In local currency, the trade surplus came in at 752.91 billion yuan. Exports saw an annual increase of 10.9% and imports rose by 1.3%.
