The Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Mao Ning (pictured) called on Monday for more humanitarian aid to be sent to Gaza.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Mao reaffirmed China's support for the introduction of a two-state system as a solution to the conflict between Israel and Palestine. She also reiterated Beijing's stance that a conclusion should be reached through dialogue.
China recently urged the United Nations (UN) to organize a meeting dedicated to the ongoing clashes between Israel and Hamas and their effect on the civilian population in Gaza.
