China is reportedly postponing its key economic policy meeting amid a surge in COVID cases, the ET Now news website reported on Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
China’s central economic work conference convenes every December to decide the policy outlook for the year ahead. The report comes as a Beijing envoy yesterday said that the COVID-19 measures will be further relaxed "in the near future," after the country continued to ease restrictions last week, giving up on parts of its pandemic monitoring system.
