Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press conference on Friday that Beijing will be sanctioning two United States military companies, Lockheed Martin Corporation and Northrop Grumman Corporation.
The spokesperson underlined that while Lockheed was identified as the principal contractor in the $500 million military sale agreement between the US and Taiwan, Northrop has participated in the arms sales to the island "on several occasions."
The sanctions will be imposed in accordance with China's Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law (AFS Law).
