China says it won't witness FDI 'exodus'

China isn't seeing and won't experience an "exodus" of foreign direct investment (FDI) from the country, Beijing's Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday. The ministry added that China's economy has solid foundations and stressed that wouldn't change.

Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce confirmed that key retailers sales in China jumped 15.8% in March month-on-month as the country gradulally started exiting its coronavirus lockdown.

Earlier, figures showed that FDIs in the non-financial sector were at to $31.2 billion. in the first quarter of the year, declining 10.8% compared to the same period last year.
