The Chinese Commerce Ministry (MOFCOM) claimed on Thursday that the European Union discriminates against the companies and goods from that country by not implementing its regulations on foreign subsidies fairly.

The comments were published in the results of the investigation on the bloc's earlier decisions to introduce tariffs on certain Chinese goods and entities, including battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

The ministry's spokesperson He Yadong said that Beijing will ask Brussels to discuss and negotiate the matter but did not disclose any further details.
