China: Manned mission on Moon by 2030

The China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) reiterated its plan to land a crewed mission on the Moon by 2030.

Speaking at a press conference, CMSA deputy director Lin Xiqiang stated the agency has already begun the initial preparations for the mission. The goal of the mission, Lin said, will be to carry out lunar scientific exploration on site.

Earlier, China and Russia announced their joint plans to build an international scientific station on the Moon by 2035.
