The United States Space Force (USSF) authorized on Wednesday United Launch Alliance (ULA) Vulcan rocket to operate National Security Space Launch (NSSL) missions.

"Vulcan is uniquely designed to meet the challenging requirements demanded by an expanding spectrum of missions for U.S. national security space launches," ULA President and CEO Tory Bruno said in a statement. The company has completed more than 52 different certification criteria since the beginning of the validation process in 2016.

"The Vulcan rocket’s inaugural launch marked the beginning of a new era of space capabilities, providing higher performance while offering the world’s only high-energy architecture rocket," Bruno stressed.
