Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told RIA Novosti in an interview published on Tuesday that the United States' push to involve China in nuclear disarmament negotiations is both 'unfair and unrealistic'.
Highlighting the stark imbalance, Wang stated that China's nuclear capabilities remain "incomparably inferior" to those of the US and emphasized that the two countries operate under different strategic and security environments. He noted that Russia has consistently supported Beijing's position, calling for respect for China's sovereign rights in the nuclear domain.
Wang also praised the enduring China-Russia relationship, likening it to "an express train" where "the scenery changes, but the train keeps moving forward" underscoring the momentum and resilience of their bilateral ties. He is currently on a three-day visit to Moscow and is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
