Xiaomi Inc.'s first electric vehicle (EV), the Xiaomi SU7, will reportedly have an insurance cost of around $50,000, Jiemian Global reported, citing data from an unnamed insurance company.

With the insurance cost of a high-end model of Xiaomi's car allegedly revealed, the cost of the vehicle itself will presumably range from $34,000 to 51,000, according to speculations reported by the news outlet.

The company previously unveiled the technology behind the SU7 during the launch event in Beijing in December.
