Coinbase rises 5% as crypto climbs to record highs

Coinbase Global Inc. shares surged more than 5% in the premarket session on Monday as Bitcoin hit a new all-time high.

Earlier in the day, Bitcoin traded above $71,000, hitting a new all-time high amid positive sentiment fueled by Bitcoin ETFs and anticipation of the upcoming halving event.

At 5:01 am ET, Coinbase jumped 5.53% to sell at $270.97 in premarket in New York.
