Cuban Communist Party leader Raul Castro together with President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro (pictured) said on Sunday the sanctions United States imposes on their countries will only strengthen their mutual relations.
Participating in a solidarity conference in Havana, the three statesmen discussed different ways of winning against, what they called, US imperialist-led offensive against progressive and socialist governments.
Maduro called the accusations by Organization of American States that Cuba is behind the protests in Chile "stupid." and blamed the "old Pinochet dictatorship and International Monetary Fund" for the turmoil. "The people have the right to seek an alternative," he said.
