David DePape, the man accused of assaulting Paul Pelosi, the spouse of former United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been convicted on two counts after the forceful intrusion into the couple's San Francisco home last year on Thursday.
The jury found the 43-year-old DePape guilty of the attempted kidnapping of Nancy Pelosi and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official. Namely, DePape could face up to 30 years in prison following the charges.
The defendant previously pleaded "not guilty" to the allegations related to the incident at Pelosi's residence.
